Anti-dumping

On February 1, 2008, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of polyvinyl chloride suspension grade (PVC-S) from Germany, Italy, Romania and the United States of America (Notification No. 2008/7).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3904.1000.
On June 25, 2009, the Turkish authorities decided upon the continuation of the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of polyvinyl chloride suspension grade (PVC-S) originating in Germany, Italy, Romania and the United States of America (Notification No. 2009/18). The amount of the duty imposed on imports originating in Germany is USD 45 per metric ton, at the exception of the company Ineos Vinyls Deutschland GmbH whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 25 per metric ton. The amount of the duty imposed on imports originating in Italy is USD 45 per metric ton, at the exception of the company Ineos Vinyls Italia S.p.A whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 25 per metric ton. The amount of the duty imposed on imports originating in Romania is USD 45 per metric ton, at the exception of the company S.C. Oltchim S.A. whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 25 per metric ton.
 
The original anti-dumping measure was decided on February 6, 2003.
 
On June 17, 2014, the Turkish authorities initiated another sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of polyvinyl chloride suspension grade (PVC-S) from Germany and the United States of America (Notification 2014/18). No review was initiated concerning imports originating in Italy and Romania.
The duty imposed by Notification No. 2008/7 on imports of PVC suspension grade originating in Italy and Romania expired on June 25, 2014.
