ANNOUNCEMENT 08 Oct 2013In October 2013, the government of the Russian Federation announced a change for the labour market access of foreign workers.
NUMBER OF INTERVENTIONS
With Resolution Nr. 891 of 8 October 2013, the Russian Government increased the quota from 10,000 to 15,000 for foreign citizens, stateless persons, including compatriots living abroad, allowed on an annual basis to study in the Russian Federation as a part of secondary, tertiary or additional professional education programmes. This quota exists at the expense of the federal budget, because it forms part of the state migration policy of Russia, as well as of its international cooperation activities.
