Canada initiated on April 27, 2009 an anti-dumping investigation on certain mattress innerspring units from China. On July 27, 2009 the preliminary decision that dumping occurred was taken.
On November 24, 2009 a definitive anti-dumping duty was imposed. The amount was set at 7.8% of the export price for Keynor Asia & I/E Co. Ltd., 0% for Foshan Jingxin Steel Wire & Spring Co. Ltd and Noromall Enterprises Ltd. and 147% for all other exporters.
On December 9, 2009 the Canadian International Trade Tribunal determined that the dumping of the subject good has caused injury to the domestic industry.
