Import tariff

On 13 November 2012, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) reduced the import tariffs on four items belonging to the information technology and telecommunication's sector. The following tariff codes are affected:

  • NCM 8471.60.53, tariff reduced from 12% to 2% until 30 June 2014
  • NCM 9030.89.90, tariff reduced from 12% to 2% until 30 June 2014
  • NCM 9032.89.30, tariff reduced from 14% to 2%until 30 June 2014
  • NCM 8543.70.99, tariff reduced from 12% to 0% until 31 March 2013

The Camex resolution no. 81/12 came into force on 14 December 2012 and lasts until 30 June 2014.
