On 19 December 2012, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) published resolution no. 91/12 reducing import tariffs on 162 capital goods to 2%. The products have been labeled as ex-tarifários, i.e., products with a tariff exception to the Mercosur Common External Tariff. However, out of the 162 items, eleven are ex-tarifários which have been renewed. For most of the capital goods, the new tariff will last until 31 December 2013.
The eleven capital goods in the following Camex resolutions received a renewed status as ex-tarifários:
The resolution 91/12 came into power on the 19 December 2012 and lasts until 31 December 2013.
On 27 December 2013, Camex resolution no. 121 extended the reduced tariff for certain goods until 30 June 2014.
