On October 9, 2014, the U.S. International Trade Commission reached an affirmative injury determination with respect to imports of chlorinated isocyanurates from China, and a negative one with respect to imports from Japan, thus allowing the imposition of a countervailing duty order on China but no anti-dumping duty order on Japan. The investigation had started on August 29, 2013, when the Clearon Corp. and Occidental Chemical Corporation filed a pair of petitions seeking the imposition of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on these imports. There is already an anti-dumping order in effect against imports of this product from both China and Spain.
This order against imports from China was renewed in 2020.
