Anti-dumping

On January 7, 2013, the Korean authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of oriented polypropylene film from China, Indonesia and Thailand.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 3920.2000 and 3921.9000. The dumping is suspected to have occurred between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012.
On December 20, 2013, the Korean authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of oriented polypropylene film from China, Indonesia and Thailand. The rate of the duty on imports originating in China ranges from 3.89% to 25.59%, depending on the exporting company. The rate of the duty on imports originating in Indonesia ranges from 4.43% to 5.98%, depending on the exporting company. The rate of the duty on imports originating in Thailand ranges from 3.48% to 10.55%, depending on the exporting company.
