Anti-subsidy

On 13 August 2009, the European Commission initiated anti-subsidy investigation on imports of certain stainless steel fasteners and parts thereof originating in India and Malaysia. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7318.12.10,
7318.14.10, 7318.15.30, 7318.15.51, 7318.15.61 and 7318.15.70. This follows the complaint lodged on 30 June 2009 by the European Industrial Fasteners Institute. On the same day a similar anti-dumping investigation was initiated, see related measure.

On 15 July 2010, the European Commission terminated the above anti-subsidy investigation concerning imports of certain stainless steel fasteners and parts thereof originating in India and Malaysia. The termination follows the withdrawal of the above complaint on 1 April 2010 by the European Industrial Fasteners Institute.
