Import tariff

On 22 November 2012, the Common Market Council of Mercosur (Consejo Mercado Común del Mercosur) adopted Resolution No. 44/12 reducing import tariffs on inorganic or organic mercury compounds (2852.90.00) from 14 to 12 per cent and hygienic products such as sanitary towels and tampons (9619.00.00) from 18 to 16 per cent.
 
This measure entered on 1 January 2013.
On 31 July 2012, formal Mercosur member Paraguay was temporarily suspended from the trading bloc. It is thus not included in the list of implementing jurisdictions.
