Anti-dumping

On July 26, 2013, the Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of refractory ceramic filters from China (Circular No. 41, 26.07.2013).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 6903.9091 and 6903.9099.
The complaint was lodged on April 30, 2013 by Foseco Industrial e Comercial Ltda.
The investigation started on the day of the publication of the circular in the Federal Official Gazette of Brazil, i.e. on July 29, 2013.
On June 3, 2014, the Brazilian authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of refractory ceramic filters from China (Resolution No. 47, 03.06.2014). The amount of the duty is USD 6.06 per kilogram. This definitive duty entered into force on the day of the publication of the resolution in the Federal Official Gazette of Brazil, i.e. on July 4, 2014, and is applicable for a period of five years.
