Import quota

On 22 July 2009, Venezuela's Food Ministry (Ministerios del Poder Popular para la Alimentación) adopted Resolution No. DM 042-09 temporarily introducing import quotas on milk and cream, cheese, corn, grain, soybeans, cane sugar, oil seeds, soybean oil, olive oil, palm oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, soybean oilcake, and other vegetal fats and oils.
 
This measure entered into force on 6 August 2009 for a period of one year.
 
On 4 May 2012, Venezuela's Ministry of Planning and Finance (Ministerio del Poder Popular de Planificación y Finanzas) adopted Resolution No. DM/3210 temporarily re-introducing import quotas on milk and cream, cheese, corn, grain, soybeans, cane sugar, oil seeds, soybean oil, olive oil, palm oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, soybean oilcake, and other vegetal fats and oils.
 
This measure entered into force on the same day for a period of one year.
