In August 2012, the government of Brazil initiated a sunset review and extended the definitive duty in July 2013. The definitive duty was terminated in July 2018.

On 17 July 2013, the Government of Brazil announced the final results of the first sunset review of the anti-dumping measure against manual hoists from China. As a result of this review, the Brazilian authorities resolve to continue, for a period of five years, the application of a specific import duty of 114.14 dollars per unit. The sunset review initiated on 21 August 2012. The HS code in question is 8425.1910.
On 17 July 2018, the Brazilian authorities terminated the definitive duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. The duty was terminated as it was set to expire after an imposition period of five years.
