Anti-dumping

On 25 April 2012, the ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia initiated a sunset review on imports of socks originating in China. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 6115.1010; 6115.9010; 6115.3010; 61153090; 6115.9500; 6115.9600 and 6115.9900. The original anti-dumping duty was imposed on 7 May 2007.
 
On 19 February 2013, the Ministry announced the extension of anti-dumping duties on imports of the subject good from China. The rate of duty remains the difference between the declared FOB price and FOB base price of USD 0.79 per pair. The anti-dumping duty only applies to goods declared at a price per unit below the FOB base price. The measure is in force for a period of 3 years.
 
On 19 February 2016, the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China was terminated. The measure was terminated as the duty expired after being in force for a period of 3 years.
