Import tariff

On 11 November 2008, Ecuador's Trade and Investment Board (Consejo de Comercio Exterior e Inversiones COMEXI) adopted Resolution No. 457 increasing import tariffs on 44 tariff lines including furniture, apparel, precious metals, stones and pearls, furs, plaits and etc. Import tariffs increase from 20 to 30 per cent. This measure entered into force on 3 December 2008.
