Safeguard

On May 27, 2013, the Commission on Distortions of Chile decided to initiate a safeguard investigation on imports of frozen pork.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 0203.2200, 0203.2910, 0203.2920, 0203.2930 and 0203.2990.
The request was lodged on May 2, 2013 by the Union Association of Pork Producers of Chile (AsociaciĆ³n Gremial de Productores de Cerdos de Chile).
The decision of the Commission was published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Chile on May 31, 2013.
On October 4, 2013, the Commission on Distortions of Chile decided to terminate the investigation without imposing a safeguard measure. The decision of the Commission was published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Chile on October 19, 2013.
