Import licensing requirement

On 28 June 2021, the Indian Directorate General of Foreign Trade through Notification No. 9/2015-2020 permitted imports of potatoes from Bhutan without a license. Imports from other countries would continue to require an import license.

This exemption is valid until 30 June 2022.

India had earlier, in October 2020, provided a similar exemption for imports of potatoes from Bhutan (see related State Act).
