In September 2010, the government of Ecuador initiated a new anti-dumping investigation. The investigation was terminated without the imposition of duties in April 2012.

On 17 September 2010, the Government of Ecuador announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on metallized polypropylene up to 25 microns thick originating in or imported from Chile and Oman.
The HS code in question is 3920.20.
On 10 April 2012, the Government terminated the investigation without the imposition of duties because of lack of evidence of material injury.
