Tax-based export incentive

On 1 June 2021, Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue through SRO 647(I)/2021 announced a maximum duty drawback of 11.94% on the FOB value on exports of water dispensers. The duty drawback is provided to reimburse the customs duties paid on the imports of certain raw materials used in the manufacture of these export goods.

The duty drawback is provided to the extent of the customs duties paid on the imported raw materials, capped at 11.94%.

Import tariff

On 1 June 2021, Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue through SRO 647(I)/2021 reduced the effective customs duties on certain goods when imported for the manufacture and exports of water dispensers.

Pakistan has through the current Notification introduced a duty drawback on the manufacture and exports of water dispensers. The drawback is provided to reimburse the customs duties paid on the imports of certain raw materials used in the manufacturing process. The Notification has listed 44 imported raw materials that will be covered under the drawback and the drawback effectively reduces the import duty applicable to these raw materials.
