Labour market access

On 17 May 2013, Brazil's Official Gazette published resolution no. 104 establishing an online tool reducing the application procedure for work permits. The new e-procedure will hand out work permits right away. The requested translated and solicited documents, such as diplomas, can be submitted until 60 days of receiving the work permit. Documents will also be archived in an online databank so that future application procedures can be streamlined.

On 16 December 2013, the Brazilian National Immigration Council (Conselho Nacional de Imigraçăo, CNIg) officially launched the online tool, Migranteweb (MTE), which was announced in May 2013.
