Import tariff

On 19 August 2010, Ecuador's Trade and Investment Board (Consejo de Comercio Exterior e Inversiones COMEXI) adopted Resolution No. 582 temporarily eliminating import tariffs on solid residues extracted from soybeans corresponding to tariff line 2304. This zero per cent temporary tariff applies to a maximum of 450,000 metric tonnes and only once the domestic soybean harvest has been utilized. This measure entered into force on 10 September 2010 for the period of one year.
 
On 28 May 2012, Ecuador's Trade Committee (Comité de Comerico Exterior COMEX) adopted Resolution No. 54 temporarily eliminating import tariffs on solid residues extracted from soybeans corresponding to tariff line 2304. This zero per cent temporary tariff applies to a maximum of 600,000 metric tonnes and only once the domestic soybean harvest has been utilized. This measure entered into force on 28 May 2012 for a period of 7 months.
 
On 1 March 2013, Ecuador's Trade Committee (Comité de Comerico Exterior COMEX) adopted Resolution No. 103 temporarily eliminating import tariffs on solid residues extracted from soybeans corresponding to tariff line 2304. This zero per cent temporary tariff applies to a maximum of 1,380,627 metric tonnes (673,666 metric tonnes in 2013 and 706,961 metric tonnes in 2014) and only once the domestic soybean harvest has been utilized. This measure entered into force on 2 March 2013 until 31 December 2014.
