On 19 August 2010, Ecuador's Trade and Investment Board (Consejo de Comercio Exterior e Inversiones COMEXI) adopted Resolution No. 582 temporarily eliminating import tariffs on solid residues extracted from soybeans corresponding to tariff line 2304. This zero per cent temporary tariff applies to a maximum of 450,000 metric tonnes and only once the domestic soybean harvest has been utilized. This measure entered into force on 10 September 2010 for the period of one year.
