Import tariff

On 14 April 2021, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) adopted General Resolution 4965/2021 reducing the reference prices on imports of woven fabrics with different characteristics classified under tariff subheading NCM 5512.19.00.

The new reference price was set at a FOB value ranging between USD 4.02 and USD 7.24 per Kilogramme depending on the characteristics of the product. Prior to this regulation, the applicable reference prices were set at a FOB value ranging between USD 4.70 and USD 8.47. The previous applicable reference prices were established in General Resolution 3297/2012 (please, see related state act).

Notably, the new legislation affected the following jurisdictions: the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The new reference prices adopted via General Resolution 4965/2021 apply as of 16 April 2021.
