Import tariff quota

On 26 September 2012, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of the People's Republic of China released the Notice NO. 35(2012) announcing the 2013 import tariff quota on wheat, corn, rice and cotton. In accordance with this Notice, the new import tariff quotas are set as follows:

  • Wheat 9,636,000 tons (90% of the quota is for state-owned trading entities)
  • Corn 7,200,000 tons (60% of the quota is for state-owned trading entities)
  • Rice 5,320,000 tons (50% of the quota is for state-owned trading entities)
  • Cotton894,000 tons (33% of the quota is for state-owned trading entities)
