The U.S. administration provides payroll support to the aviation contractor Primeflight Aviation Services Inc. under the Payroll Support Program extension.

On 12 March 2021, the Department of the Treasury reached an agreement with the aviation contractor Primeflight Aviation Services Inc. in support of the payments of employee wages, salaries, and benefits under the Payroll Support Program extension (PSP2) of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021. Within the scope of the agreement, Primeflight Aviation Services Inc. will receive around USD 26 million payroll support from the U.S. Treasury provided that the funds exclusively used for the continuation of payment of employee wages, salaries, and benefits. No condition was imposed that this firm cease operations, unlike wage support afforded by other governments during COVID-19-related "lockdowns."
The U.S. Administration signed into law the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 on 27 December 2020, which provides pandemic relief for the workers in the aviation industry in the form of payroll support. The U.S. Administration allocated an aggregate amount of USD 15 billion for passenger air carriers and USD 1 billion for contractors to preserve aviation jobs and compensate air carrier industry workers (see related state act).
