Foreign customer limit

On 1 June 2013, the Kuwaiti Government started implementing a measure restricting hospital visits of foreigners. The Health Minister, Mohammad al-Haifi, decided not to allow foreigners in public hospitals in the mornings. He stated that, in order to avoid overcrowding, hospitals should concentrate only on Kuwait citizens during morning hours. The measure is for the moment implemented only at the hospital of Jahra on an experimental basis for six months. After this trial, the measure is expected to be extended to all other hospitals in Kuwait.
This measure affects not only foreign visitors to Kuwait but also foreign migrants in that country.

The website of the Ministry of Social Affairs has not been updated in the last 5 years, but major newspapers and embassies confirm the measure.
