Labour market access

On 21 May 2013, Peru's Ministry of Foreign Affairs published Decree No. 024-2013-RE which introduces exemptionsfor business visas for Chilean, Mexican and Colombian nationals for business trips of 183 days or less. The measure became effective with the adoption of the Degree. Previously, nationals from these three countries had to apply for business visas at Peruvian consulates in advance in order to enter Peru on a business trip. Visa exemptions already existed for touristic trips to Peru. This, and related measures, are linked to the creation of the Pacific Alliance trade group.
