NewlandChase (in English),
On 24 April 2013, Colombia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs adopted Decree No. 0834 implementing a new immigration regime. The new migration law makes immigration rules clearer by consolidating all entry categories into just three well-defined categories: 1) Business, 2) Temporary, and 3) Resident categories. Furthermore, the new migration law extends the maximum length of stay from 1 to 3 years for temporary visas, thus facilitating immigration to Colombia. This regulation is effective as of 24 June 2013.
