In March 2012, the European Commission initiated a sunset review and extended the definitive antidumping duty in June 2013. In May 2018, a new sunset review was initiated.

Anti-dumping

On 13 March 2007, the European Commission imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of certain tungsten electrodes originating in China.
On 9 March 2012, the Commission initiated a sunset review investigation on the duties specified above.
On 4 June 2013, the European Commission decided to extend the anti-dumping duties in force for an additional period of 5 years. The HS codes in question are 8101.9910 and 8515.9000.

On 31 May 2018, the European Commission initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. The investigation follows the application lodged on 27 February 2018 by two domestic producers of tungsten electrodes.
