Import tariff

On 10 February 2021, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a ruling relating to the tariff classification of automobile organizers. With the ruling, the CBP reclassified the automobile organizers in subheadings HTSUS 4202.92.91 and HTSUS 4202.92.08 Previously, the subject product was classified under the tariff subheadings 8708.29.80, 8708.99.50, 8708.99.81, 8708.29.50. With the new classification, the import tariff of the subject product has increased from 2.5% to 17.6% and 7%.

This ruling will become effective 60 days after publication in the Customs Bulletin (on or after April 11, 2021).
