Anti-dumping

On 31 December 2020, the UK Department for International Trade issued Taxation Notice 2020/33 maintaining the definitive duty imposed on ammonium nitrate from Russia. The maintained duty was imposed by the European Union on 16 December 2020, see related state act. This decision follows the United Kingdom's exit of the European Union from 1 January 2020.

Compared to the EU duty level, the rate of duty is maintained in GBP starting from 1 January 2021. The products subject to duties fall under the following HS code subheadings: 310229, 310230, 310240, 310260, 310290, 310510, 310520, 310551, 310559, and 310590.

The rate of duty is between GDP 24.085 and 27.374 per tonne depending on the specific good listed in seven goods categories.

The duty is set to expire on 17 December 2025.
