Tax or social insurance relief

On 13 November 2020, British pub chain Young & Co’s Brewery announced benefitting from the government’s business rates relief scheme by GBP 7.7 million (USD 10.2 million).

The UK government introduced the business rates relief for retail, hospitality, and leisure businesses in March 2020 for the 2020-2021 financial year. The scheme is aimed at alleviating the negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic on businesses active in the retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors.
