Import tariff

On 25 April 2013, the Vietnamise Ministry of Finance issued Circular no. 44/2013/TT-BTC increasing import duties on the following mineral resources:
 
Increase of duty from 30 to 40 per cent on:
- Apatite ore (excluding fine grain type less than 15 mm)
- Manganese ore and extracted ore (including iron-bearing manganese ore or extracted ore with manganese content exceeding 20 per cent in dry volume)
- Copper, lead, tin, and other titan ores (excluding ilmenite reclaimable ore, titan ash, artificial and synthetic rutile).
 
Increase of duty from 25 to 30 per cent on:
- Lime rock stone 
 
The amendment entered into force on 9 June 2013.
