Import tariff

On 13 May 2013, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in India increased (according to Notification No. 12 (RE-2013)/2009-2014) the minimum Cost in Freight (CIF) value for imports of areca nuts from Rs. 75/kg to Rs. 110/kg.
 
The import value was later increased to INR 162/kg in June 2015 and it was last increased from INR 35/kg in August 2012 (see related measures)
