Import tariff quota

On 18 August 2020, the Eurasian Economic Commission announced the EAEU import tariff quota on certain agricultural goods, valid for 2021. In comparison with the quota of 2020, the following changes were observed.

Armenia’s quota on beef has been raised from zero to 6 thousand tonnes, and its pork quota from zero – to 10 thousand tonnes. Also, Armenia’s poultry quota was increased from zero to 44 thousand and its whey quota – from zero to 0.5 thousand tonnes.

All other quota volumes remain unchanged. Since the in-quota tariffs are invariably lower than out-of-quota ones, this change will affect imports positively.

Although the Decision itself enters into force on 20 September 2020, the quotas are valid for the year 2021.
