In January 2009, the government of Pakistan initiated a new anti-dumping investigation. In November 2009, a definitive duty was imposed, which was extended in January 2016.

Anti-dumping

On January 16, 2009, the Pakistani authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of secondary quality tin plate from Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States of America.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 7210.1210. The dumping is suspected to have occurred between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008.On July 16, 2009, the Pakistani authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of

On July 16, 2009, the Pakistani authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of secondary quality tin plate from Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States of America. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Belgium is 28.62%. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in France is 31.31%. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Germany is 23.73%. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in the Netherlands ranges from 23.96% to 39.99%, depending on the exporting company. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in the United States of America is 11.78%.

On November 14, 2009, the Pakistani authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of secondary quality tin plate from Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States of America. The rate of the definitive duty is the same as the rate of the provisional duty imposed on July 16, 2009 (see above).On 15 January 2015, the Pakistani authorities initiated a sunset review on

On 15 January 2015, the Pakistani authorities initiated a sunset review on above-noted products originating in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States of America.

On 11 January 2016 the Pakistani authorities concluded the above-mentioned investigation and subsequently terminated the definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of above-mentioned product originating in Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands and USA.
