On 20 May 2020, the Federal Board of Revenue of Pakistan through SRO 461(I)/2020 increased the rates of duty drawback on the manufacture and export of 100% plastic goods* from Rs. 3.14 to Rs. 5.42 per kilogram (~USD 0.02 to USD 0.03). The duty drawback is provided to reimburse the customs duties paid on the imports of raw materials used in the manufacture of these goods.

*including packaging materials used in the goods meant for export such as bottles, jars, vials, containers, droppers, etc.
