Anti-dumping

On July 30, 2020 the Coalition of American Chassis Manufacturers filed petitions seeking the imposition of countervailing and antidumping duties on certain chassis and subassemblies thereof from China. These goods are typically classified in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States at subheadings 8716.39.0090 and 8716.90.5060.

On September 11, 2020 the U.S. International Trade Commission determined that there is a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of chassis and subassemblies from China that are allegedly subsidized and sold in the United States at less than fair value. As a result of the determinations, the U.S. Department of Commerce will continue its investigations.
