Import tariff

On 15 June 2020, the India Ministry of Finance through Notification No. 52/2020-CUSTOMS (N.T.) increased the import tariff value on the following goods - 

  • Crude Palm Oil - USD 550 to USD 596 per Metric Tonne
  • RBD Palm Oil - USD 560 to USD 613 per Metric Tonne
  • Others – Palm Oil USD 555 to USD 605 per Metric Tonne
  • Crude Palmolein - USD 568 to USD 618 per Metric Tonne
  • RBD Palmolein - USD 571 to USD 621 per Metric Tonne
  • Others Palmolein – USD 570 to USD 620 per Metric Tonne
  • Crude Soya bean Oil - USD 666 to USD 713 per Metric Tonne
  • Brass Scrap (all grades) - USD 3071 to USD 3198 per Metric Tonne
  • Gold - USD 553 to USD 558 per 10 grams
  • Silver - USD 559 to 568 per kg.

The tariff values were last amended on 29 May 2020 and later increased on 30 June 2020 (See related State Acts).

Import tariff

On 15 June 2020, the India Ministry of Finance through Notification No. 52/2020-CUSTOMS (N.T.) reduced the import tariff value on the following goods - 

  • Areca Nuts - USD 3752 to USD 3746 per metric tonne
