Anti-dumping

On September 28, 2012, the Indian Directorate General of anti-dumping & allied duties, Ministry of Commerce, initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of peroxosulphates from Chinese Taipei, Turkey and the United States of America. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 2833.4000. This follows the application lodged by M/s Gujarat Persalts Pvt. Limited, M/s Calibre Chemicals Pvt. Limited, M/s VR Persulphates and M/s Yoyo Chemicals, the sole domestic producers of the investigated goods.
 
On March 4, 2014, the Indian Directorate General of anti-dumping & allied duties, Ministry of Commerce, issued its final findings and recommended the imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of peroxosulphates from Chinese Taipei and the United States of America. It also decided to terminate the investigation on imports originating in Turkey without duty as the dumping margin is de minimis.
 
On May 16, 2014, the Indian Ministry of Finance issued the Customs Notification imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of peroxosulphates originating in Chinese Taipei and the United States of America (Notification No.22 /2014-Customs (ADD), 16.05.2014). The amount of the duty imposed on imports originating in Chinese Taipei is USD 94 per metric ton. The amount of the duty imposed on imports originating in the United States of America is USD 62 per metric ton.

On 20 March 2018, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from the United States. This follows the application lodged by Calibre Chemicals Pvt. Limited, VR Persulphates and Yoyo Chemicals.
