Anti-dumping

On November 29, 2012, the Thai authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of high carbon steel wire rods from China. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7213.9190 and 7227.9000.
 
On August 9, 2013, the Thai authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of high carbon steel wire rods originating in China. The rate of the duty ranges from 16.14% to 33.95%.
 
On May 17, 2014, the Thai authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of high carbon steel wire rods originating in China. The rate of the duty ranges from 5.17% to 33.98%.
 
On 18 January 2015, the Thai authorities initiated a review of the above anti-dumping duty.
 
On 22 December 2016, the Thai authorities amended the above anti-dumping duty following the conclusion of an anti-dumping duty review. The rate of duty is between 12.26% and 36.79%.
