Import tariff

On 6 March 2010, the European Commission issued Implementing Regulation (EU) 2010/191 decreasing the duty imposed on imports of certain husked rice falling under HS code subheading 1006.20. The duty was increased from EUR 42.50 (USD 57.92) to EUR 30 (USD 40.89) per tonne. The previous import tariff was set on the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2009/172, see related state act.

Following international agreements, the European Commission reviews the import duty on certain husked rice twice a year and amends it depending on import levels of the subject good.

The import duty was amended in September 2011, see related state act.
