Import tariff

On 24 April 2020, the government of Malawi lifted the import duties on essential goods for the Coronavirus prevention, treatment, and management. The decision is taken through the government notice No.9 issued in the Malawi Gazette Supplement. 

Notably essential goods include ventilators, oxygen concentrators, personal protective equipment, hand sanitizers, soaps, water treatment chemicals, and similar goods.
