Labour market access

On 19 October 2012, the German Parliament passed a legislation to suspend the issuance of 'Free Movement' confirmations for EU nationals.

As of 22 January 2013, EU citizens will no longer need to present the 'Free Movement' confirmation when relocating in Germany. While they still enjoy all advantages of free movement, the bureaucratic step of collecting a confirmation has been eliminated.
