Anti-dumping

On 28 November 2008, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry published a notification of initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on hot-rolled steel products originating in China, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Philippines, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Turkey and Ukraine.
The product under consideration is hot-rolled coils, sheets, plates and strips, or any other hot-rolled flat product of iron or non-alloy steel of a thickness not exceeding 20 mm and of a width of 600mm or more, not clad, plated or coated. The HS code in question is 7208.
On 11 August 2009, the Ministry decided to terminate the anti-dumping investigation as requested by the representatives of the domestic industry.
