Anti-dumping

On 27 May 2011, the Mexican authorities announced the initiation of a sunset review investigation on imports of synthetic polybutadienestyrene rubber in emulsion from Brazil. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 4002.1902. The complaint was lodged on 15 April 2011 by Industrias Negromex, SA de CV. The original definitive anti-dumping duty was imposed on 27 May 1996.
 
On 24 October 2012, the Mexican authorities extended the anti-dumping duty in force on imports of synthetic polybutadienestyrene rubber in emulsion from Brazil. The rate of duty remains at 71.47% or 96.38% depending on the company. The measure is in force from 28 May 2011 for a period of five years.
 
On 16 May 2016, the Mexican authorities announced the termination of the above measure. The duty is terminated as no application for a sunset review was submitted. As such, the duty expires on 29 May 2016.
