Import quota

On April 5, 2013, the Government of Colombia announced a provisional special measure on imports of powdered milk from Argentina under the Economic Complementation Agreement No. 59 (ACE No. 59) with Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
 
In particular, this resolution establishes the following:

  • A special measure is applied for powdered milk imported from Argentina, classified under heading 0402 of the Harmonized System, in the following way:
    • Suspend, during a period of 90 days, the application of the tariff preference established under the ACE No. 59, to the import quota of 1,957 tons of powdered milk from Argentina.
    • Maintain, during a period of 90 days, the current preference of 67% for the importation of 993 tons of powdered milk for Argentina.
    • Apply to the remaining 964 tons a tariff of 20%, during a period of 90 days.
