Export licensing requirement

On 13 March 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Paraguay adopted Decree 3455 establishing a temporary export licensing requirements on hand sanitizer and face masks in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. 

The affected tariff products are classified under tariff subheadings 3808.94.19, 3808.94.29, 6307.90.10 and 9020.00.90.

In addition to the export licensing requirements, all producers and exporters have to register in a special registry.

The new legislation entered into force on 13 March 2020 and applies for one year.
