Import tariff

On 25 March 2020, the government of Turkey abolished the additional duties imposed on ventilators classified in the Turkish Customs Schedule under the customs tariff code 9019.20.00.00.18. The decision is taken as part of the efforts to cope with the coronavirus pandemic.

The MFN duty on ventilators is zero percent. Previously, on 7 December 2018, the government introduced an additional duty of 13% on the subject product (see related state act). As a result of this Decree being issued, ventilators that previously paid the additional duty of 13% now exempt from this additional duty.
