State loan

On 17 March 2020, the KfW IPEX-Bank announced providing financing to the local transport authority Baden-Württemberg public transport company's purchase of 20 battery-powered electric Mireo trains. The loan has a total value of EUR 77 million (approx. USD 84.8 million). The maturity of the loan is 28 years. The trains will be manufactured by Siemens Mobility in Krefeld, Germany. 

A similar loan was approved to the authority in 2019, see related state act.
