On 17 January 2020, the BNDES announced the approval of four export credit operations with a total value of approximately USD 370 million.

One of these transactions supported the exportation of 11 Embraer's E175 aeroplanes to the United States of America. The receiving company is American Airlines. According to one of the bank's technicians "the availability of BNDES financing has been a decisive factor for Embraer's exports, contributing to the continuous development, manufacture and sale of Embraer's aircraft from its factories in Brazil". This credit operation complements previous investments made by the BNDES to support the export operations of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, Embraer (please, see related state acts).

Another transaction supported the exportation of 258 Marcopolo and Mercedes buses to Chile. With this economic support, BNDES is helping the two multinationals with operations in Brazil expand in the Chilean market.

The last transaction that was mentioned in the announcement, referred to the exportation of buses and trucks to Peru from the company Scania.

In all cases, the financing took place through the BNDES Exim Post-Shipment program which consists of the refinancing for the acquisition of goods and/or services or the assignment of the letters of credit related to exports, with an interest rate consisting of the financial Cost + BNDES spread + cost of the guarantee, and a maturity of up to 15 years.
