In December 2011, the government of Chinese Taipei initiated a sunset review and the definitive duty was extended for a new period of five years in December 2012. In December 2017, a sunset review was initiated.

On 19 December 2011, Chinese Taipei initiated a sunset review investigation on certain footwear originating in China. The concerned HS codes are: 6402.20; 6402.91; 6402.99; 6403.20; 6403.51; 6403.59; 6403.91 and 6403.99.
On 13 December 2012, the country decided to extend the anti-dumping duties in force on the subject product for an additional period of five years.
On 11 December 2017, Chinese Taipei initiated a sunset review of the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China.
On 17 January 2019, Chinese Taipei extended the definitive duty imposed on imports of certain footwear from China following the conclusion of a sunset review. The rate of duty is between 4.56% and 43.46%. The duty is in force for a period of five years.
